Scorsese takes aim at the greed of Wall St via a truthful story w/1 of DiCaprio'due south best roles

Compra verificada

The Wolf Of Wall Street was directed by Martin Scorsese and based upon the true story of Jordan Belfort who recalled his ascension and fall equally a stockbroker. Belfort had everything. A sometime model for a wife. A huge house, cars, jets, a yacht. A multi-meg dollar business, drugs, hookers, etc. and then everything came apart. That'southward what the film is about. Information technology was a tale of greed and excess past the rich who believed they could practise annihilation they wanted because they had money and power.

The ensemble cast stands out. Leonardo DiCaprio as Belfort is charming and outrageous at the same time. He acts like he'due south bulletproof. His partner Donnie played by Jonah Colina and the other members of his original crew look like a bunch of nobodies but are hilarious in their stupidity and how they were willing to do well-nigh anything.

Information technology as well talks most how the Stock Market is a con job. His kickoff boss Mark Hanna played by Matthew McConaughey told him his chief job was to make money for himself by manipulating clients while having all the sex and drugs he could along the way. That was a lesson he would retrieve for the residual of his life. Belfort would take that to extremes by selling penny stocks, shares in small businesses that were just starting that no ane had ever heard of to working grade people and so the middle course and rich. He became a multi-millionaire in the process selling junk.

Finally the movie is total of hilarious moments. Near of those are drug induced. For case Belfort takes some drugs and has to drive dwelling but he tin't talk and he can barely walk. He finally gets into his sports auto and drives abode just to exist arrested subsequently on and sees that he crashed his car into nearly everything on the style dwelling.

Information technology's a great movie with one of DiCaprio'south best roles. It'south got an of import lesson and will brand you express joy at the same time about what Belfort and his compatriots were able to get away with.

an offensive waste product of 3 hours

Unless y'all're actually longing for an endless parade of f*** in every sentence, debauchery in utter excess, drugs that period like Niagara... I'd pass on this film. If this film needed to be made (and a couple of days after watching information technology I'g really wondering if information technology needed to exist made) It could easily have been condensed to under 2 hours. Information technology was painful by the finish. If you'd like a movie about wall street that doesn't leave you feeling violated scout "Pursuit of Happyness" instead.

Best movie of all fourth dimension

Compra verificada

This is honestly one of my meridian favorite movies of all time. I feel like the people who don't love information technology don't accept the appreciation for what an incredible movie this is. Yep, its very graphic, lots of nudity and sexual practice, lots of drugs and violence. But, that's all part of information technology. I am very picky with movies and I have to Actually love a movie to sit down through information technology if it is long. With this moving picture, it doesn't even experience long to me every single fourth dimension I watch it (at least five times by now!). I think the moving-picture show is interesting and capturing from starting time to cease. Scorsese and DiCaprio did an astonishing job.

Just Glorifies Awful Behaviour

Compra verificada

Really just felt like a movie about glorifying someone has no respect for anyone, swindles people out of their coin, cheats on his first and 2nd wife, assaults his 2nd wife, puts his ain child in danger (which was a life threatening state of affairs), puts other people in danger, doesn't care who he screws over to get rich... why is this movie praised? What is good well-nigh this movie? Information technology'southward pretty, but and so what, so are other movies that are non near praising a man for beingness atrocious.

Love it

Corking story. Super raunchy. Super vulgar. Obscene. Drug filled. Nudity. I tend to gravitate towards movies where the protagonist is basically out of command, and this movie fits the pecker. You'll cry from laughing if you lot have a skillful sense of well counterbalanced dark sense of humour. Possibly DiCaprio's best movie to appointment.

Scorsese Explores the Corruption of Money

Compra verificada

Earlier Scorsese films explored the unrestrained violence and greed that mob figures occupied in American cultural life -- Goodfellas saw Joe Pesce and Robert DeNiro kill at volition for a quick windfall; Casino saw Joe Pesce and Sharon Rock wallow in violence and drug abuse with unlimited money supporting them. Greed, gluttony, and lust dominated their lives. The Wolf of Wall Street explores the effects of unrestrained money on ambitious, driven white collar salesmen, and, again, greed, gluttony and lust dominate their lives. Take a look at the American dream experienced by those few who succeed across all expectations: broken homes, depravity, sexual perversion, corruption, and drug habit. Not a pretty picture. No wonder the University didn't honour the film for best picture or best managing director. Who wants to run into themselves represented in total epicurean depravity on the big screen? (What upward, Harvey?)
